I have been investing for more than a decade. I have bought stocks, sold covered calls, and watched dividends roll in. I have built a portfolio that actually means something in my life.
And looking back, I wanted to create a tool that would help someone who is just getting started do this better than I did.
That is why I built the 7 Minute Investor.
It is not a stock screener. It is not a trading tool. It is not something that requires you to sit at a computer all day. It is a simple daily check-in that takes seven minutes, and it will change the way you think about investing.
Let me walk you through it.
The 7 Minutes
The first thing you do when you log in is run through a daily checklist. Seven items. About one minute each.
Did you look at your stocks today?
Do you know your account balance?
Did you check your plan to see whether you need to invest more today?
Did you log any transactions?
Do you still like your stocks for the long term?
Did you check your open positions and any upcoming events?
Did you review your goals and confirm you are on track?
That is it. Seven items. Seven minutes. You check all seven and you get your investor streak for the day.
The whole point is that the small things, done consistently, are what actually make you a better investor. Not the big dramatic move. The daily habit of showing up and looking at your numbers.
I have been investing since high school. I have seen a lot of people (myself included) skip the daily check-in. Then something slips. A dividend you forgot to log. A position that needed attention. A plan that quietly went stale. None of those are dramatic failures. They are just small drifts that add up.
The 7 Minute Investor is the system that catches the drift.
The snapshot
Right after the daily check-in, the app shows you a snapshot of where you actually are. Not where you think you are. Where you actually are.
Total money invested. Total income you have made, both passive income from dividends and semi-passive income from covered calls. And then for each stock you own, a card that shows you the number of shares, your average buy price, the total you have invested, the passive income you have made, the semi-passive income you have made, and your options unlock status when you cross 100 shares of a single stock.
My dad has a quote he has said my whole life. I'm not sure where it's originally from. He says that if you want to have success in anything, you have to be able to measure it.
The snapshot is the part of the 7 Minute Investor that lets you measure it. Fast. Without opening Excel. Without learning finance jargon. It's just right there.
Milestones and awards
Then there are the milestones and awards. First stock. First income. Options unlock. Seven day investor. Thirty day investor...
Some people look at that and think it is kind of silly. Why would I care about an award for my first stock?
Because most people never get their first stock.
There is a verse in the Bible that says without a vision, the people perish. The milestones and awards are there to give you a vision and a path. A target. Something to aim for. 100 shares of a single stock is not where most people start. But having it as a target means your dream of becoming an investor does not quietly die.
The system gives you the tools to make the dream real. The awards are the moments that tell you it is working.
Your goals, your vision
The last section is the one that matters most. Your goals.
You are going to have different goals than I have. Or your brother. Or your friend. Or that person you follow online who just bought their first quantum computing stock. There is no one right set of goals.
In the 7 Minute Investor, you put your own goals in. Whatever you are after. $10 a month in passive income so you never pay for Spotify again? A Dollar a day in income? Whatever it is. You build it in, and the software tracks your progress toward it.
The system does not just give you my goals. It gives you a place to put yours.
The 7 Minute Investor is in beta right now
I built this with the help of AI. I am not a software developer by training. I am a guy who started investing with fifty dollars and a part-time job at Tractor Supply.
The 7 Minute Investor is in beta testing right now. The first way to get into it is through the First Stock Challenge, which is a live, three-day event where I walk you through opening your account, buying your first stock, and building a plan. The 7 Minute Investor is the system that helps you keep going after the challenge ends.
Seven minutes. Daily. That is the whole system.
